Multi-Loc Pet pictures rotated incorrectly when viewing through Kennel Connection

EveryoneUpdated 10/15/2026

Pet photos may appear sideways in Kennel Connection even when their thumbnails look correct. Rotating the photo in Windows Photos and saving it to the Pix folder on your main computer or server helps keep pet pictures easy for your staff to view and recognize.

Pet pictures rotated incorrectly when viewing through Kennel Connection

Kennel Connection does not have any control over the layout of pictures, whether they are landscape or portrait. Androids and iPhones have known issues of pictures showing sideways even if they look correct in their thumbnail.

If you are taking landscape pictures and they are showing portrait, try taking the picture the other way or you may need to rotate the picture in the Windows photo viewer, and then save the picture to the Pix folder on your main computer/server.

To rotate a picture using Windows Photos, follow these quick steps:

📸 Rotate a Photo in Windows Photos App

  1. Open the photo:

    • Double-click the image file, and it should open by default in the Photos app.
    • If it opens in a different app, right-click the file > Open with > Photos.
  2. Use the Rotate Button:

    • At the top toolbar, click the Rotate icon (a circular arrow).
    • Each click rotates the image 90° clockwise.
  3. Save (if needed):

    • If it doesn't auto-save, click the Save or Save a copy button (floppy disk icon or three dots > Save).

💡 Shortcut: You can also press Ctrl + R to rotate while in the Photos app.
