Multi-Loc Setting up Custom Icons
Custom icons in Kennel Connection help staff quickly spot pets’ medical needs, care instructions, and other important details across pet cards, appointments, and schedules. Set up icons for each location and add optional check-in and checkout messages to keep your team informed and support consistent care.
.Icons must be setup for each location.
Click on Manage, Custom icons.
Click on Add.
Click on Select.
There you will have many options to choose from, in different categories.
Maybe you have a pet who needs to have his weight monitored during his stay. Click on Medical and choose Weight.
Enter a title that will show when you hover your mouse over it.Choose a color for the icon.Enter alert messaging for checkin that explains to your staff what this icon means.Enter alert messaging for checkout if your staff needs to perform a specific task related to this icon. These alert messaging are not required.Hit Ok.
Next, go into the pet card, click the down arrow beside the pet name, Add icon and choose the icon you'd like to display. You can attach multiple icons to the pet card.
These will display on the pet card. If you hover your mouse over the icon, it will display your title.
They will display on the appointment screen.
They will display in the client explorer.
They will display on the dashboard.
They will display on the schedule.
If you added checkin alert messaging, those will display when you check the pet in.
If you added checkout alert messaging, those will display when the pet is checked out.
Tracking and updating Icon list
You can print a report to see which pets have each icon assigned.
Click on Manage, Custom Icons.
Click on the print option to get a report for which pets has this specific icon assigned.
You can delete an icon from the list by clicking the trashcan icon.
Important: VERY IMPORTANT: Deleting an icon from this list will delete the icon from every pet that it’s assigned to.
