Setting services (feeds, meds, exercise, other services) by individual dates - Card-based services
Card-based appointment services provide a flexible way to schedule feedings, medications, exercises, and other services during a pet’s appointment. Instead of relying only on daily or recurring schedules, you can select the specific dates when each service is needed or use a repeating rotation. This helps tailor services to the pet’s care needs and the owner’s preferences while keeping service instructions, timing, and rates together for staff.
Enabling the feature
To enable, click on Manage, New Features Settings.
Check the box for ‘Use Card-based appointment services view instead of grid’.
Click Save Settings.
Other Services: In order to choose specific dates for Other Services, they must be set to be given every 0 days. If they are set to be given every 1 or 2 days, for example, that will be the only option available on the appointment screen.
Click on Setup, Lists.
Other Services. Click on each option needed and update the settings to ‘every 0 days’.
Appointment screen
On the appointment screen, you will click to Add Service and choose the service desired. You can also click Get Last which will load the last appointment’s information.
Feeding, Medication, Exercises
These services have the same options. Our example is for Feeding.
Feeding name - Choose the feeding name.
Morning/Afternoon/Evening – Check the boxes if the pet is to receive the feeding in the Morning, Afternoon or Evening.
How much – Add any instructions that are needed for staff.
Rate – The rate will load from the setup screen and you can adjust if needed.
Service Dates - Repeat Every – This screen has rotation options if the feeding is to be given on a set rotation. For example, the owner may choose a treat to be given every 2 days.
If the feeding is to be given on specific dates, click on the calendar to choose the dates desired.
Other Services
Service name – Choose the service to add to the appointment.
Employee – Choose the employee name if they are to receive a commission for the service.
Rate – The rate will load from the setup screen and you can adjust if needed.
Service Dates - Repeat every
This screen has rotation options if the service is to be given on a set rotation. For example, the owner may choose to get a Massage service every other day.
If the service is to be given on specific dates, click on the calendar to choose the dates desired.
