One-on-One Training Setup

One-on-one training in Kennel Connection lets you book private sessions for pets, choose trainers, and schedule individual or recurring appointments. It helps your business save time on repeat bookings and apply training packages at checkout, keeping scheduling and billing organized.

One-on-One Training

One-on-one training is for pets coming in for a private session with a trainer. Appointments can be booked individually or on a recurring schedule.

Booking a one-on-one appointment

1. Find the pet in the Client Explorer. You can search by pet name, client name, address, phone number, or email address.
2. Select the pet(s), click Book, and choose Train 1-1.
3. Choose the training type, if Training Types are enabled.
4. Choose the trainer, if applicable.
5. Choose the start and end times.
6. Click Save.

Choose Dates (recurring appointments)

Use Choose Dates to book repeating appointments, such as 3 times a week or once a week for 3 months. This option is also available for resident training.

1. On the appointment screen, click Choose Dates.
2. Choose the date range.
3. Choose which day(s) of the week the appointment occurs.
4. Optionally, use Repeat every X days for X time to set a timeline, for example every 2 days for 3 months.
5. Use Additional dates to adjust individual dates. For example, if the appointment is every Tuesday and Thursday but the client can’t come Tuesday, October 6 and wants Monday, October 5 instead, uncheck 10/6 and check 10/5.
6. Click Confirm to save the dates, then Save to save the appointment.

Packages

One-on-one packages use the Train-O package service. To create or sell packages, see Training Packages.

Invoicing

One-on-one packages are applied when the pet checks out. The invoice shows whether a package day was used and adds any other billable services from the appointment.
